I had my neighbor come over to ask me if I could clean her house on sat. She told me to let her know how much I want to charge. It’s 2 bedroom 2 bath 1100 square feet with 4 cats. I have no idea what to charge because shes very nice and I want to be fair. Please help!!!
Charge her by the hour but make sure she makes it very clear what she wants you to clean and what she doesn’t. Write it down so you know what to do and she knows what to expect. Dusting, vacuuming and thoroughly cleaning the bathroom is standard. Kitchen cleaning is ok unless it’s a disaster and there’s a weeks worth of dishes. Litter boxes might be a problem because 4 cats is a bit much. Be clear and specific.
A friend of mine charges $20.00 per hour. She has no trouble finding places to clean.
Make sure you do a good job and you will more than likely be called to do it again.

yes… I agree with the $20 per hour…It helps to charge by the hour and not a flat rate, because, especially with pets….you may have a lot of hair to clean up and with 4 cats you may have to vacuum all of the furniture everytime you clean and that takes time,,,
