The nicer, safer areas are obviously going to be more expensive. In Southie, you could probably spend about $1600/month, while if you wanted to be right in the city or in Brookline, you’ll be paying more like $2300/month.

Anywhere between 1200 (semi-close to T, most likely no parking, 1 bedroom) to 3000 (close to T, parking available 2 bedroom+) I really don’t think you’re going to get anything under at least 800. Even studio apartments run upwards of 900+ in Boston.
