I am curious as to who has it and what are their thoughts about it as well as cost of installation.
YES, I viewed the information about it on Verizon website but I am looking for actual first hand experience by those who have it and if they are willing to share their opinions on it.
FIOS is delivered over fiber optics. Currently being offered by local phone companies such as Verizon. This is probably the fastest connection available to your home. However high speed does not mean high cost. The costs are very competitive with cable and dsl.
It seems to me that the internet connection is in fact noticably faster. The phone and TV quality is about the same, or at least I don’t notice a distinct difference. My cable company would always go out, so that’s another benefit. I’d say it’s worth the money.
I think Verizon Fios is well worth switching to. I have had Comcast, Directtv and Dishnetwork and and the picture quality is better on Fios. I switched from Comcast to Fios and I got more channels (I even added a premium channel) and I am saving $35 a month. They have unlimited capacity to add channels due to fiber optics. The inter has been spot on. I get 15mbps down/ 2mbps second up for the same price as 5 mbps down/ 768 up that I had with comcast. You also get a free wireless router with Fios. I don’t have their phone service but I have a Vonage box connected and all my calls are clear. Switch, I doubt you will regret it. They are the highest rated ISP.
