My boyfriend lives with an aunt that charges way to much for rent. he pay a third when four people live there. She says that his cuz doesnt count b/c she cant work. But shouldnt that be her and her husbands responsibility? And its hard finding another apartment. She wants him out b/c she says she dont need his money anymore.
Well …Tell him to get his own apartment and he can find one on …

Sounds like he needs to find a new place. Whether his rent is high or not, when there is drama like this the situation is bad. I would think that that girl not working would be her husbands responsibility to pay half of the rent. Good luck, I am sure there are other available options.

If he chooses to live there, then he has to follow his aunt’s rules. Sounds like she’s trying to push him out. I had a friend who was paying her roommate $500 a month in rent and then found out that the apartment cost $600 a month because it was rent controlled. She got out of there right away and looked into suing for being taken advantage of. But, there was nothing she could do because the person’s name that’s on the lease is the one that makes the rules for the others who live there. She agreed on the price of $500 before looking into it.
