When I visited my fiance’s family apartment, we could not use water a day or two days. How often does Korean apartments stop the water service?
Korea is lack of water?
I guess it depends on the apartment building or where you live also but as a general rule almost never except for maintenance if even that. Korea doesn’t lack water. Koreans have always been notorious for being daily bathers. Chinese emissaries from Ming dynasty kept records of how Koreans constantly bathed and Korean court recorded how Chinese emissaries never bathed.
Korea is not a lack of water country.
Just once or twice stop the water in a year. Coz at that time they clean the water tank.
They announce the notice b4 stop the water service, people who live in the apartment need to store water for 1 or 2 days.

I lived in an apartment in seoul. My experience
maybe about once every 6 months at my apartment complex. usually the water was turned off from about 8am-8pm. inconvenient yes…especially when u don’t know it’s coming or can’t read the signs posted in the elevator.
what i did to prepare myself was know that i was going to shower at the jimjilbang or gym right down the street.
dont actually know why they do turn the water off…just know its annoying.
