we are rookie spray painters for an apartment complex. Our problem is that we aren’t getting enough apartments painted fast enough and we need tips to cut down our prep-time and painting time. examples, painting around ceiling fans, not getting overspray paint on kitchen fridge and floor, a faster way to paint trim, a faster way to cover door knobs and switch plates, painting base and case, how not to get overspray on base and case. we tried spray painting trim then walls and ceiling but we get overspray on base and case and have to go back and hand paint overspray. we can’t cut in close enough with the sprayer. not getting over spray on carpetr without using a runner because when we paint the ceilings it will show over spray in center of carpet.
You need to tape off the trim to prevent any overspray and throw down a tarp pr plastic on the floor and over any furniture to prevent them getting paint on them, the simple fact is whenever working with spraypaint your gonna have overspray so everything you don’t want it on needs to be covered…..
go to menards or home depot and pck up one of their home sprayer kits youll have it done in a matter of a feww minutes

Instead of spraypaint, use latex paint with rollers and brushes.

when one is preping the other should cut in 6 inches all arould with a brush this sounds slow but it will save time.
