I’m considering moving permanently to a furnished apartment but am afraid of bed bugs and used towels., anyone rent one out?
It varies from place to place depending on the owner, and the price. Generally -know that the furniture will not be new, so other people will have used it. In some places, I suppose they furnish linens & towels, etc. but in my experience, that is a hotel, not an apartment. Plan on buying your own sheets, towels etc. Also plates, pots pans, silverware, etc. In other words, only the actual furiture is furnished, the rest is on you.

There are varying degrees of furnished apartments. There are some that are executive apartments used for VIP’s that are being transferred to a new location. Some of these are beautiful and everything is very clean and looks (or may even be) brand new. There are also some that I wouldn’t let me dog sleep on. Really you get what you pay for. Many of these places (from low end to high end) do have them fully stocked with linens, towels, pots & pans, etc. The only way to know for sure is to inspect the place you are looking at and determine if it suits your standards of cleanliness. Another option would be to find a place that is less money and then furnish the place with furniture that you can now purchase at places like Rooms To Go that offer no interest for several years.

By furnished apartments, that usually means stove, refrigerator and if your lucky a dishwasher. It seldom means other furniture and almost never means towels or other linen
