Me and my flatmates are currently looking for houses in Sheffield and were wondering how much amenity bills (gas, electric, water and internet) would be on average? Altogether there are 4 of us that would be living together. We are mainly trying to calculate how much we would be paying each week if our rent was approximately £60.
We are all slightly confused as this is the first time that we would all be living in housing that was organised by us.

well, i would say around £10 a week. Although this depends on how much electricity you use, i am currently in a house as a fresher and all my bills equate to £40 a month, thats internet, gas, electric and water, although i am in Bournemouth and your in Sheffield so in therory it should be cheaper because its cheaper in the north. My internet is £6 a month, £20 electric and gas (although i am on pay as you go meters) water and sewage is £7 approx a month. Although it depends on your water rates, some landlords include water rates. Mine doesnt, also how energy efficient your house is? Mine is energy rated E, so not very good in my case. My heating only comes on for 2 hours a day and i have hot water all the time, dont no how. So i would say approx of £70 week with bills.
