where can i apply for student housing in LA? how can i find it?
November 23rd, 2009 | by admin |I have previously asked on safe housing in LA and I am appreciative of those who replied because it did help a lot! but i have no clue on where and how to find student housing!? please help!
You need to go through the school that accepts you. If you get accepted to UCLA, you contact UCLA housing services when you are accepted. That’s how it’s done. (You can only live on campus if you are a student at the University)

The best thing to do would probably to go through your school. Check with the housing office if your school has one. If they don’t, try Student Services.

Each school or university has a housing office, so you ask or apply there, and get there early, as they probably have waiting lists. Another resource, if you have to go outside that system, is community bulletin boards at school or in nearby markets, or the old standby and my favorite, craigslist.
At every school, the student population is so mobile that there is always housing opening up all the time, so that is the good news. And there are always people wanting to share to save on expenses. I also think this helps address the safety issue.
